The Ladysmith volleyball team gave St. Croix Falls its toughest conference game to date.
Yet, the Saints won again, this time by scores of 25-17, 24-26, 15-25, 25-15, 15-10, Oct. 7.
Five Saints registered seven or more kills led by Kylie Broten’s 17. Kelsey Cooper tallied 13. Kayla Sheehan recorded 12. Lauren Hoverman finished with 10 and Kaylee Miron contributed seven.
Cooper recorded five blocks, as Hoverman, Broten and Sheehan finished with three each. Brianna McCurdy tallied two. Cooper posted a team-high 23 digs as Broten registered 21. McCurdy had 12. Sydnei Larson posted nine as Sheehan and Miron each had seven.
McCurdy dished out 45 set assists.
The Saints finished with eight service aces. Broten led with three, followed by Cooper, Hoverman, McCurdy, Miron and Larson.
St. Croix Falls is now 7-0 in the conference and 21-7 overall.

The Saints swept Hayward Oct. 5 by scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-15. Player stats weren’t available.
St. Croix Falls competed in the Altoona Invitational Oct. 9 and went 3-2.
The Saints lost to Eau Claire Memorial 25-14, 20-25, 15-7, but rebounded to defeat Osceola 25-18, 25-17; Grantsburg 25-15, 25-23 and Clear Lake 19-25, 25-22, 17-15.
Unity defeated St. Croix Falls 25-23, 26-24. Individual stats weren’t found online.
