Roger Charles Campbell died at his home in St. Croix Falls Sept. 4, 2021, with his family by his side. He was 76.
Roger was born in Osceola Nov. 29, 1944, to Charles and Irene Campbell. He attended school in St Croix Falls where he graduated from high school in 1962, then attended Dunwoody Institute to further his education. Roger spent most of his career working in the manufacturing industry for various companies. After retiring Roger was always a person that needed to stay busy, so he worked as a handyman, helping to take care of numerous rental properties.
Roger also loved to spend time in service to others. He did this by dedicating his time and efforts to taking care of the property and cemetery at Bethesda Lutheran Church, as well as volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and their ReStore shop in St Croix Falls.
During high school Roger met the love of his life, Arlene Gordon. They would be married on Oct. 24, 1964 and have three sons, David (Jackie), Dan (Sarah) and Brian. Roger cherished his time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You could also find him on the golf course with his friends.
Roger loved to go fishing, hunting, and camping with his family and friends. Weekend trips with the pop-up camper, canoe trips on the Namekagon River, and trips to northern Minnesota and Canada added to his many adventures. He also enjoyed going on vacations with Arlene and many of their friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Irene Campbell and his younger brother, Rodney Campbell.
He leaves behind his wife of nearly 57 years, Arlene; his sons David, Dan, and Brian; his grandchildren, Derek (Shelby), Marcus, Kierstyn (Ryan), Kayeleen (Kyle), Nicholas, Ryan, Hayley, Jaden, and Riley and three great grandchildren Sydney and Lydia (Derek/Shelby) and Everitt (Kayeleen/Kyle). Roger also leaves behind his sister, Rhoda (Steve) and brother, Bob (Karen) along with many more aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services were Sept. 11 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Dresser. Interment will be in the Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Grandstrand Funeral Home Osceola, WI. condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com.
