Patricia A. Bast of Two Rivers died March 8, 2023, in Oconomowoc, Wis. She was 83.
Patricia was born April 13, 1939, in St. Croix Falls to the late Willard and Geneva (Johnson) Boettcher.
Patricia grew up on a farm near Dresser and attended a one room school house through grade school.
She raised and sold livestock to help put herself through college and received a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from University of Wisconsin-Stout. Upon graduation she moved to Manitowoc and worked as a researcher for the Mirro Aluminum Company.
She married Merwin Bast in 1963 and raised three sons.
She eventually retired from a position as a Home Economics teacher at Lincoln High School in Manitowoc and then worked many years at the Flower Gallery.
Patricia loved gardening, travel, spending time with family, and caring for her pet cats over the years, including Missy who now resides in sunny California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merwin and sister, Margaret.
She is survived by her three sons and daughter in-laws, Jeff and Stephanie, Scott and Rhoni, and Dan and Nancy; grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob, Sidney, Colton, Bailee, Emma and Ethan; great- grandchildren, Jaye, Bronson “buddy guy,” Sonny, and Brooks.
Funeral services will be March 17 at 1 p.m. at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Burial will take place following services at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on March 17 from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m.
