Mary Clare Huberty of Osceola, formerly St. Paul, Minn., died June 1, 2021. She was 72.

Mary Clare will be dearly missed by her partner and soulmate of 44 years, Sherry Hanson and Martha (her cat).

Mary Clare graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel in Mankato. She began working at the St. Paul Public Library soon after that, where she worked for 36 years before retiring. Upon retirement she moved to Osceola to live out her dream of living on a lake.

After moving to Osceola, she became a passionate volunteer. She loved the folks at the Community Homestead, the local library, and animals. In lieu of flowers she wanted memorials to go to the Community Homestead (Osceola), The Friends of Osceola Public Library, and the Arnell Memorial Humane Society (Amery).

Mary Clare was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marie Huberty; brothers Ray, Butz, special brother Bill; and sister, Jackie.

She is survived by brothers, Don (Midge) Huberty, Len (Barb) Huberty, Joe Huberty; sister, Kathleen (Ralph Dumond); 35 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be June 9 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Community Homestead. Dress very casually and come prepared to share a story with another guest. Condolences can be left at
