Jennifer (Fossing) Davies of Windom, Minn., formerly of Dresser, died peacefully Dec. 28, 2022, at home surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 54.
Jennifer was born June 20, 1968, in Windom to Donald and Janet (DuBay) Fossing. She graduated from Windom High School with the class of 1986. After graduation, Jennifer lived in the Twin Cities until 1994, when she moved to Dresser. Jennifer was united in marriage to Darryl Davies on Dec. 21, 1991. The marriage was blessed with two daughters, but the couple later separated.
She found her calling as a paraprofessional and had other various positions at the Osceola and Saint Croix Falls School Districts, where she worked for over 16 years. Jennifer was passionate about her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at the lake, taking walks, doing puzzles, camping, and listening to music. Jennifer will be remembered for her extremely kind heart and generous nature.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Ryan; and nephew, Tony Haroldson.
Jennifer is survived by her two daughters, Audrey (Ryan) Geistfeld of Trimont, Minn., and Sophia (Michael Johnson) Davies of Lake Crystal, Minn.; two grandchildren, Casey Geistfeld and Janis Geistfeld; parents, Donald and Janet Fossing of Windom; four siblings, Sharon Haroldson of Brington, Colo., Dan (Pam) Fossing of Windom, Shirley (George) Hosch of Oakdale, Minn., and Bill Fossing of Excelsior, Minn.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at the American Lutheran Church in Windom, with Pastor Adam Roberts officiating. Visitation will be Jan. 9 from 5-7 p.m. at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.
