On Aug. 31, 2022, David Britt died from complications after heart bypass surgery at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn. He was 64.
David Lee Britt was born June 13, 1958, in St. Croix Falls to Rudolph and Jeanne (Peterson) Britt.
David’s father was in the Air Force, so he lived in various locations growing up; Hawaii, Texas, Nevada and Michigan. The family returned to Osceola in 1969, and eventually, the Britt family settled in Dresser. David graduated from St. Croix Falls High School in 1976, then attended 916 Vo-tech (Century College) in St. Paul for a time. He did quality control work for local manufacturing companies. On Sept. 18, 1982 he married Pamela Jean Yetter. They raised one daughter, Stacey, and two sons, Beau and Gabriel.
David enjoyed spending time with friends and family, fishing and being outdoors, learning about history and showing Newfoundlands dogs for a short time. David will be remembered as a kind and caring man who loved his family and his pets.
David was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph and mother, Jeanne.Â
David is survived by his wife Pam, three children, Stacey (Brian Ecklin), Minneapolis, Minn.; Beau and Gabriel, two granddaughters, Kylie Britt and Savannah Mahoney-Britt; sisters Denise (Ron) Marten, Coldwater, Mich., and Evonne Pugh, Placida, Fla., and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. at Alliance Church of the Valley in St. Croix Falls. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Osceola at 2 p.m. for those who would like to join the family there.
