Julia Kloos

Sophomore Julia Kloos had an impressive outing in her competition debut with the Saints golf team in Amery, scoring  117, the low score for the day.


When and Where: August 21 at Pheasant Hills

Results: St. Croix Falls opened the 2019 season with high hopes for an improved squad. The Saints played in an 18-hole event at Pheasant Hills and finished with a team total of 517. 

Highlights: SCF was led by sophomore Missy Jones who shot a 115. Senior Maddy Stensven was next in line for the Saints with a 120.

When and Where: August 23 at Amery. 

Results: St. Croix Falls improved their team score by seven strokes from the previous meet shooting a 510 in an 18-hole event at Amery. 

Highlights: This time it was sophomore Julia Kloos leading the way for the Saints with a 117. Jones had the second best score for the Saints with a 121.

Comments: “This week was our first week of individual competition,” Jacobson noted. “The girls played at both Pheasant Hills and Amery. In Amery Julia Kloos had an impressive performance scoring the lowest individual score of the day (for the Saints). This is her first year on the team and was her first competition so I was very pleased. We look forward to (this) week.”

Upcoming: This week the Saints will try to build on their first week’s success when they travel to New Richmond on August 28th for a meet on the ‘Links’ course.
