Noah Kazmierski

When and Where: Sept. 10 at St. Croix Falls

Outcome: St. Croix Falls/Unity 2, Hayward 1

Summary: “Both teams had opportunities on which they failed to capitalize in the first half,” SCF/Unity coach Craig Zipperer said. “Recognizing that our formation was causing a cluttered center, the formation was modified for the second half. Coach (Carol) Kline and I are very proud of the players on and off the field for recognizing the problem and adapting to a new plan of attack. Almost immediately Carson Cross found the back of the net from approximately thirty yards out. Soon after, Noah Kazmierski placed his second penalty kick of the season out of the reach of a strong goalkeeper.”

Comments: “The win was nice but the best part was being able to give some players the experience to play in a varsity game and witness the support of the remaining players on and off the field,” Zipperer said.

Upcoming: SCF/Unity will host Spooner in a game on the new SCF soccer facility on Sept. 24.
