Where and When: Timberland Hills/CASTA Ski Trail on Sept. 29, 2020

Overview: “Rugged, wooded trails complete with uneven terrain, hills, rocks, roots and mud made (last week’s) Cumberland Invitational a true cross country experience,” St. Croix Falls Coach Amy Klein said.

Summary/Results: St. Croix Falls ran very well at the Cumberland Invitational with the boys’ team placing second and the girls’ team finishing third. Cameron won the boys’ race by just eight points over SCF. Hayward earned the first place finish on the girls’ side.

Boys’ Highlights: “In their best team finish of the season, Viktor Knigge won the race by almost a minute,” Klein said. “Mason Peer mustered up third and Triston Hanson ninth place. The “Freshman Force” of Connor Dyzak and Lincoln Ferris solidified a second place team effort for the boys’ race.”

Girls Highlights: “The girls’ race, testing endurance and perseverance, produced a third place finish for the Saints,” Klein said. “Sierra Braund took seventh on the challenging course with teammates Alise Wiehl, Payden Bainbridge, Abby Jensen and Aleah Jensen all with strong finishes.”
