Highlights: SCF had a trio of players in double figures led by Brady Belisle and Oliver Schmidt with 19 each followed by Jared Lessman with 10. Dayo Oye added nine points to the SCF total. For Barron the offense revolved around the LaLibertys as Carter LaLiberty netted 27 and Caiden LaLiberty added 21.
Comments: “Good game overall but we just gave up a few too many offensive boards,” St. Croix Falls Coach Chad Hall noted. “Barron did a nice job defensively shutting down parts of our offense but we had several guys step and get their game highs for the year. We battled back and had our chances at the end of the game but just couldn’t convert.”

Outcome: St. Croix Falls 82, Ladysmith 69
Summary: The Saints shook off their loss from earlier in the week, rebounding in a big way to defeat Ladysmith on the Hodag’s home court. SCF was solid on the offensive end of the court all night long scoring 41 points in each half.
Highlights: Lessman led the way for the Saints with 27 points followed by Belisle with 14, Connor Olson with 13 and Payton Christenson with a dozen.
Comments: “Offensively we were clicking inside and outside while also running the floor well,” Hall said. “Defensively we did well for the majority of the game but Ladysmith does have some very good offensive players and they were able to make a little run at us. Fortunately we were able to hold them off and get the win.”

Outcome: Cameron 75, St. Croix Falls 68
Summary: The Cameron Comets completed HON play with a hard fought 75-68 win over St. Croix Falls. Cameron ended the conference season with a 15-0 record and is 19-1 overall.
Highlights: CHS was a two-headed monster as Richie Murphy and Ian Payne combined to score 61 of their team’s 75 points. Lessman and Christenson were also effective in the offensive zone as they hit for 24 and 22 points respectively for the Saints.
Comments: “Fast paced game with lots of offense,” Hall remarked. “Cameron is the top team in the Heart of the North and I thought we battled well against them. We just had too many mistakes on defense and too many empty possessions.”
