Trevor LaMirande

Trevor LaMirande ran in his second consecutive state cross country race on Saturday, Nov. 2 finishing 37/149 with a time of 17:25.2.

Where and When: WIAA State cross country meet, Ridges golf course, Wisconsin Rapids, Saturday November 2, 2019

Summary/Results: Trevor LaMirande competed in the boys Division-3 State cross country championship as an individual for St. Croix Falls. LaMirande finished 37th overall out of 149 runners with a time of 17:25 for 5,000 meters.

Highlights: “Being able to see Trevor make it back for a second year at the State cross country championship was a special accomplishment and a great way to end his high school cross country career,” St. Croix coach Adam Kovar said.

Comments: “The last four years running for SCF has been a great experience and I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” LaMirande said. “The State meet this season didn’t go as well as I wanted it to but that doesn’t take away from a great four years. Everyone in the community has been very supportive throughout this and I would like to thank them. Lastly, I would like to thank the coaches and my teammates because without them nothing during this journey would’ve been possible.”

What it means: “The State meet was the last meet of the career for Trevor,” Kovar noted. “He finished in the top fourth of all runners in Division-3 and worked tremendously hard to be there. It was a great end for an athlete who had an impressive career that included four all-conference awards, a Sectional championship and two trips to the State cross country championships. I look forward to seeing what’s in store for Trevor to finish out his high school athletic career and beyond. This will be something that our program and our community will remember.”
