Pursuant to due call and notice posted October 3rd, 2019 the Village of Osceola Board hosted a workshop on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, immediately following the Board meeting. The workshop was held in the Village Hall/Discovery Center – Large Meeting Room (205).

Present: Buberl, Schmidt, Burch, Rose, Gilliland and Anderson

Absent: Murphy (excused)

Also present: Krumenauer, Pedrys, Cutts, Elfstrom, Waters, press and public                                                                             

1. Buberl called the meeting to order at 7:35pm.

2. Business – Discussion and possible action on:

a) 2020 budget planning – Village Board and Village departments held a round table discussion highlighting departmental budget requests. The primary focus was to listen to department concerns on current budget planning as well as highlight where staff feel the Village needs should be prioritized. Additionally, Village Board members were able to prioritize individual thoughts on what is important for the 2020 budget. Of major note is the importance to develop a sustainable funding approach for capital equipment needs.

(No action taken)

3. There being no further action Buberl adjourned the meeting at 9:05 pm
