Arnold Potek’s recent letter uses hollow arguments in opposing Trump’s wall. He claims that more dangerous drugs pass through legal access channels than come by 20 million illegal immigrants. Those substances enter the country undiscovered and therefore are uncountable. He also tosses out a red herring for the violence caused by aliens, by referring to exaggerated accounts of domestic murders and shootings. Mr. Potek says that 2,000 children were recently placed in internment camps. Cross out the idea of its being something recent; President Trump merely continued this practice of President Obama.

He accuses President Trump of “…manufacturing a national emergency for political purposes.” There have been 51 national emergencies declared by presidents that had almost nothing to do with our immediate security. Border Patrol chief Carla Provost calls today’s borders a security crisis. Check out a complete presidents’ emergencies listing and reasons here: .

Union organizer Caesar Chavez led groups to the border to oppose the entry of illegals. He knew what these millions damaged legal working people’s earnings. Mega corporations and government unions (AFSCME, SEIU) benefit from uncontrolled immigration. This is one reason the middle class has shrunk. Steve Israel opined, “Our Nation’s immigration laws are disrespected both by those who cross our borders illegally and by the businesses that hire those illegal immigrants.” The big wonder is why Hispanics and African Americans do not oppose illegal immigration. Their wellbeing suffers from it.

Along with infusing evermore crimes and gangs into our country, we spend billions on illegal immigrant welfare. Unlike Mr. Potek, most fact checkers tried but could not contest President Trump’s emergency claims. See for rigorously documented facts about the impacts of illegal immigration.

Why do Liberals like Nancy Pelosi and the Clintons live within walled estates and yet claim walls to be immoral? Why had both previously voted for wall expenditures but no longer will? Alexander Hamilton noted, “Men often oppose a thing merely because they have had no agency in planning it, or because it may have been planned by those whom they dislike.”
