A letter to the folks of the town of Osceola:

The year 2020 is over, thank you God.  Now is the time for a new beginning.  After over twenty years of community service to the folks of Polk county and the town of Osceola I have decided to take time for myself and my family.  I wish to thank everyone for all the help and support that you have afforded me the past ten years to serve as chairperson to our fine town.  However after a long discussion with my wife and family we decided that it is time for me to leave public office.  So effective January 5th I will be resigning from the Osceola town board and chair for the WTA of Polk county.  Any town business should be directed to Mike Wallace or Brandon Whittaker.

Again I want to thank everyone and wish you all a very bright future.  God bless.

Doug Schmidt

Former Osceola Town Chair

P.S. look out Arizona here we come!
