Wayne Richard Viebrock, 82 of Osceola, formerly of Star Prairie Wis., passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Wayne was born in St Paul, on December 4, 1936 to Arvid and Ilene (Mondor) Viebrock. He was the oldest of 10 children and raised on a farm in Horse Creek, WI. Wayne quit school in the 11th grade in order to help on the family farm. Once he was an adult, he purchased his Grandpa Viebrock’s farm and lived there until after his retirement. He then built a home on Lotus lake where he lived until his death.
Wayne was united in marriage on June 21, 1975 to Jean Hall. They were blessed with 44 years of marriage that included teasing, quick wit, and many enjoyable memories for years to come. Wayne was not one to be idle and held multiple jobs at one time. Beginning at age 16, among the places that he worked, were the Polk County Lime Quarry, Doboy Feeds in New Richmond, Land O’Lakes in Minneapolis, Country Dam, and later retiring from Anchor Block Company in North Saint Paul. While working at the various jobs, he also continued to farm. He loved his farm. Whenever he would go on vacation, he would always make sure he was home in five days because he thought the farm would fall apart if he was not there. He loved deer hunting, playing cards and trips to the casino.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a good friend to many and would give the shirt off of his back if someone was in need.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Arvid and Ilene; In-laws, Clifford and Angeline Hall; Sister, Linda; brothers, Leon and Craig; and daughter Pamela Greene.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean; children: Bradley (Brenda), Cynthia (Steve) Waalen, Jonathon (Heather), Jeramy (Tera), Jennifer (Mark) Brenizer; Son-in-Law, Doug Greene and Daughter-in-Law, Tiffany Viebrock. 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. He is also survived by sister, Judy Cabreana; brothers, Wendell, Mick, Brian, Alan and Neil; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank Wayne’s nurse Karen, Home Health Aid Melyssa and all of Adoray Home Health & Hospice for their gentle and loving care of Wayne. They truly enriched his life while enduring the constant teasing and smart remarks even if he was not feeling well. We were truly blessed to have Adoray care for Wayne.
