Marjorie A. Montpetit age 82, of Osceola, WI, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at Christian Community Home of Osceola. She endured a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Marjorie was born on October 15, 1938 in Stillwater, Minnesota to parents, William and Sadie (Meister) Richert. She attended Stillwater High School. On June 24, 1961 she married William Montpetit of East Farmington and together they had four children.

For many years, Marjorie did in home babysitting for many families. Later on, she worked with her son Tom, at the Video Den in Osceola. Marjorie and her husband enjoyed traveling, mostly accompanying their son Steve, which included many trips Colorado, Hawaii and Florida. Another hobby was sewing and embroidering. She made many, many baby blankets, every grandchild and great-grandchild were well supplied. As the Alzheimer’s progressed giving up her sewing was one of the hardest things for her. After that her mission in life was to pray for everyone and anyone she met. She was a “Prayer Warrior”!

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents William and Sadie Richert. She is survived by her husband, William; children, Catherine Steffen (Robert), Steven Montpetit (Teresa), Thomas Montpetit (Tammy) and Annette Ahlers (Richard); grandchildren, Sherman, Mark, Colleen, Brian, Tina, Kayla, Andrew, Brandon, Matthew and Laura; her four great-Grandchildren, Jack, Reylan, Luke and Jacob and by her sister, Donna McKeon (James).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Osceola with Rev. Joseph Madanu officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to mass at church on Thursday. Interment will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Farmington.
