Judy McLain Johnson of St. Croix Falls, formerly of Hastings, Minn., died peacefully surrounded by family on Dec. 21, 2019, at her home. She was 71.

Judy was born July 24, 1948, to Malcolm and Jo (Ryan) McLain in Menomonie. She attended high school in Boyceville.  On Aug. 1, 1965 Judy was united in marriage to Gary Johnson. This marriage was blessed with four children. She was a dedicated mother, loving wife and supportive friend. Judy spent the majority of her career as a Sales Executive at Tapemark in West St. Paul, Minn.

Judy enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing, nature walks, baking, making cards, traveling, watching her river and keeping an eye out for the eagles. For many years she volunteered at the Hastings food shelf, church and senior center. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild and friends. She had a contagious smile, made friends wherever she went and was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need.

We would like to especially thank the great care Judy received from the St. Croix Hospice Nurses and the St. Croix Oncology team.

Memorials preferred to the St. Croix Falls Senior Center and St. Croix Hospice.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Jo and son, Steven.
