Carlo M. Meyer of St. Croix Falls, formerly of Bradenton Fla., died peacefully on the morning of April 9, 2019, while at the Christian Community Home Hospice Care in Osceola. He was 57.
Carlo’s mother spent the majority of her time by Carlo’s bedside to comfort him and be with him during his passing.
Carlo was born Aug. 3, 1961, to Rodger and Sofia Meyer of St. Croix Falls, where he grew up working at the family Drive-In in Osceola, and working on cars and machinery at an early age. Carlo graduated from St. Croix Falls High School in 1979 and attended WITI in New Richmond for Packaging Machinery. After graduation he traveled worldwide as a field service engineer. He eventually purchased a farm near Turtle Lake. He moved to Bradenton, Fla., and lived in a gated Christian Retirement Community where he owned and managed a laundromat. Carlo suffered a stroke and later discovered he had a rare form of cancer. Carlo returned to St. Croix Falls to be home with family and friends.
Carlo was preceded in death by grandparents, Dr. Adan Luis Cobos and Guadalupe Coronado Cobos, Mexico City, Mexico and Mabel Jennings of Jim Falls, Wis, nephew Justin Hesyck.
He is survived by parents Rodger and Sofia Meyer, and siblings Randy (Cindy) Meyer, Pasadena, Md.; Mark (Marcia) Meyer of Amery; Lisa (Brent) Schlieff of Forest Lake, Minn. Nieces and nephews, Ona Hesyck, Marlena Meyer, Sam and Marc Schlieff, Jennifer (Sean) Kobrin.
