Burt Leonard Kulzer died peacefully in his home Feb. 26, 2021, in Osceola. He was 67.

Burt was born Nov. 19, 1953, and attended Osceola High School through 1972. He joined the service shortly thereafter and worked many jobs providing for his family. He lived for his family and loved to make everyone around him smile. The highlights of his life include performing as a musician with “Bustin Loose” and “82nd Street Band” with his friends and his sons. Burt was diagnosed with cancer in May 2020 and the only thing that kept him going was his three grandchildren “June Bug, Zuzu, and Bucky.”

He was preceded in death by his mother Olga Kulzer, Jerry Kulzer, Kathy Kulzer, Linda Kulzer, and Bette Cross.

Burt is survived by his wife of 47 years and the love of his life Sherry Meyer; sons Arlen Kulzer, Curt (Brooke) Kulzer, Tyler (Adam) Kulzer, and Burt (Kari) Kulzer; grandchildren Reegan, Zoey, and Bennett Kulzer; siblings Judy (Gordy) Anderson, Kay Larson, Lynn Kulzer, Arnie (Connie) Kulzer, and many friends.

Visitation will be March 4 from 4-7 p.m. at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
