On Saturday, the Wisconsin Bear Hunters Association (WBHA) announced its endorsement of Rob Stafsholt’s campaign for Wisconsin’s 10th Senate District. Stafsholt is a Life Member of the organization and served on its Board of Directors for many years. In the Legislature, he has been a leader in defending the rights of hunters and sportsmen. The endorsement comes ahead of the August 11 election.
Wisconsin Bear Hunters Association released the following statement on its endorsement:
“Wisconsin Bear Hunters enthusiastically support Representative Stafsholt and his bid for the 10th District Senate seat. Rob was on the WBHA Board of Directors for 13 years before running for State Assembly and understands the issues faced by Wisconsin hunters as well as anyone. He has been a champion of hunter rights while in the State Assembly and was trusted by his colleagues to serve as the Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Sporting Heritage.
“Rob Stafsholt has also been a leading advocate for the Second Amendment. He has proven that in the State Senate he will continue to fight for the rights of sportsmen and women, work to promote youth hunting and ensure proper wildlife management.”
Representative Rob Stafsholt released the following statement:
“I’m honored to have the support of my friends in the Wisconsin Bear Hunters Association. As a lifelong hunter, I understand firsthand the importance of preserving our sporting heritage and protecting our rights. In the Senate, I will continue to stand with my fellow sportsmen and push back on the attempts of anti-hunting groups to restrict our constitutional liberties.”
