No newcomers filed for candidacy during deadlines extensions in the village and town of Osceola, leaving the ballot as reported last week.

In the village, would-be incumbent president Gary Beckmann did not file papers, extending the deadline for the presidential seat by three business days to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7.

In the town, the same timeline applied to filings for a supervisor seat. One current supervisor, Dan Burch, did not file.
